Jos Buttler | England skipper: I think 350 you would take that as a score. Dew was a worry and it was wet. The conditions to chase down 350 was a great effort from them. He played brilliantly. In all formats he has improved his game. He has been brilliant at the top in all formats. He can be incredibly consistent in this format. Delighted for him. Just a shame it is in a losing cause. Rather focus on partnerships than individuals. Take the focus off yourself and focus on partnerships. That’s what Root and Duckett did. Breaking that partnership was needed between Inglis and Carey. Immense belief in guys. There is optimism in the group.
Steve Smith | Australian skipper: I thought the guys were outstanding from the outset. Short played well up top. Travis and I were the only ones to miss out and the middle order did a fantastic job. Regardless of what team we have, we would have bowled first. I thought it slowed up in the end in the first innings and I thought 350 was chaseable and knew we can chase this if we batted 50 overs. Boys did a good job with the ball, controlled the back end by mixing it up. Marnus did a good job. The two keeper have been batting beautifully for a now. Josh hits the ball all along the ground and has all the shots, Was a top effort from Inglis and also Alex with a brillant hand.
